15-17 and 18-20 are basically the absolute worst way of doing this to get absolutely no meaningful results whatsoever, if this was an actual poll that meant anything. it pisses me off! you just move the ranges down one fucking year and it changes everything. why even HAVE this poll if you're going to do it WRONG.

i'd have gone with two-year ranges from 14 through 23 or so, as it is the teen years are split up really oddly

Yeah, I hear ya, actually one year in any direction makes a huge diff when you're a teenager, but if we cater to them, time moves in weeks, not years.

not to sound priggish, but i think that a lot less people lose their virginity prior to the age of 18 than claim to. i'd say that >60% of the people i know have, though at one point or another all of them have lied about it.

Like has been previously said, I don't see why someone would lie in an anonymous poll. Unless they're just trying to fuck with the results in which case voting for one of the extreme choices would make more sense than voting for one of the middle/more likely options.

reasons people don't answer accurately:

1) they frequently lie or misrepresent when they're not accountable for it. (over one hundred? sure...)
2) i'm pretty sure nobody really cares about the result, so accuracy isn't a major concern. (e.g. 'this feels about right... i mean, i think about sex enough... let me click this button)
3) people who vote aren't, probabably, a representative sample even of ILX. i'm pretty sure those w. no experience / limited sexual experience / experience they're not proud of / etc. are less likely to respond than the types who can brag or skew results and use the categories as a checklist.
4) because according to internet polls, the length of a male who willingly answers online questionnaires about his pecker length, on average, is eight and three-quarter inches.

I agree with you about skewing the votes and if there had been 20 or more people who voted over a hundred then you would be right. But there weren't. (also, not a representative sample. . . duh.)
