Seriously. If you can put a crap TV show like The Brady Bunch on broadway, why not a crap movie?

A real cursory skimming of this made me think this:
mind-bending work of science fiction with a rollercoaster plot
meant they were making rollercoaster ride of Darnold Darko. Which would actually be fucking rad! And my inner 19 year old was like, "yeah, rad --- on MUSHROOMS."

A bad film of a great play exists forever.
A bad play of a good film does not.
That's assuming it's bad, which it might not be.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 30 October 2007 21:06 (eighteen years ago)
Because this story is an irredeemable piece of shit!

I'm not sure why anyone thinks of the ART as some kind of holy cradle of theater, Robert Brustein was always a charlatan. Sometimes an entertaining one perhaps. He hated like hell the fact that he had to give up "his" precious stage for two months every year to students, even though we were paying his damn salary, and he provided exactly zero support or help or knowledge about anything we ever tried to do.
But god DAMN is that one sweet theatrical space. In my junior year I co-produced a student play there (Brecht's "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui") with a $4000 budget, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
