[b]Casting agents for Channel 4's hit series Skins are heading to this summer's Rock Ness Festival in Scotland. [b] The show is to host a new tent, the Skins Live Arena, which will feature a string of dance acts over the two-day event on 7-8 June.
The line-up includes legendary Chicago house DJ Felix Da Housecat, Hadouken! and Radio 1’s Annie Mac.
The arena will be decked out in "a similar aesthetic to a Skins party".
Budding actors will get the chance to impress the agents who are looking to cast four new characters for the next series. Skins has been a huge hit for Channel 4
Cast member Daniel Kaluuya plays Posh Kenneth. He reckons it is an exciting move for the show.
He said: "It is a bit cool, it's a bit mad, it's a bit out there but Skins can do it.
Kaluuya, who has also written for this series, told Newsbeat it is an example of how successful the show has been in finding its audience.
He said: "What Skins does is hit its demographic so aggressively, people think it's cool."
Kaluuya hinted the cast will try and make it to the shores of Loch Ness to join in.
He said: "If we're not working, then most of us will go and go mad at Rock Ness."
The line up for the festival includes Fatboy Slim, Razorlight, Editors, The View, CSS and The Cribs.

Top piece of branding there. I'd go in that tent if I was at the festival, maybe not while Hadouken are playing though.

Although looking at the rest of the line-up I wouldn't touch that festival with a barge-pole.

To what extent is the soundtrack of Skins actually reflective of what yer upper middle class wite kids are actually listening to? Does it hit its demographic as well as the soundtrack to This Life did with poncey 90s London young professionals?

does it dictate it more than reflect it? the gossip's 'standing in the way of control' can thank its conspicuous presence on the ad campaign for series one for its subsequent ident ubiquity and success... but perhaps This Life was as much a part of portishead's ubiquity, not so much art imitating life as people trying to imitate art trying to imitate life.

Skins title theme is terrible - worse than Queer As Folk's

i watched the latest one this morning, always 3 or 4 lols but so much lameness at the same time and the constant use of music is, as with 90% of YO dramas and lifestyle shows, overbearing to the extent where they might as well just have a little guy in the corner of the screen holding up :), :( and :/ signs on cue.

I'd go in that tent if I was at the festival, maybe not while Hadouken are playing though.
I went to a Hadouken! gig a few months back, and most of the audience looked like they could have been a Skins extra to start with. Teenagers in "80s-style" rave outfits pouring toxic goo from the inside of glowsticks into each others' hair, and moshing.

Isn't there a sign-language edition of Hollyoaks?
