Imagining this reporter actually conducting the interviews necessary for this story is making my cringe-muscles spazz out... Particularly wack is the face-value "objective" reporting of the arab kid's insistence that other kids' taunts of "terrorist" and etc. are part an impossible-to-understand teenage fraternal code... wishful thinking, Najwa! I mean MAYBE, but if i were that kid's friend i'd be like "no, that's a diss - kick his ass!"

well i think it would've given me more 'perspective' and been interesting overall to see the reactions of a large group of people like that, here my friends were mostly apathetic or angry/scared about america going to war even in the first few minutes after the towers collapsed, i can only imagine the response of my racist xenophobic fundamentalist southern baptist classmates...what a missed opportunity! i mean, in athens the anti-bush posters were already up the next morning but when i visited back home last xmas there were still flags in every window.
