is the kathryn bigelow/jamie lee curtis as policewoman film

it's oddly fascinating in that late period bigelow way, you can't say it's good but you keep watching anyway

Edward III, Friday, 27 June 2008 17:24 (seventeen years ago)

point break used to be on hulu, you could double feature with that

xpost

Edward III, Friday, 27 June 2008 17:27 (seventeen years ago)

I figured if they let you know that the Psycho available was the '98 version they'd do the same for Planet of the Apes, so I'm assuming it's the original.

latebloomer, Friday, 27 June 2008 17:30 (seventeen years ago)

but tentacles is a 70s italian horror film with john huston, shelly winters, and henry fonda... I smell cinema.

Edward III, Friday, 27 June 2008 17:37 (seventeen years ago)

Vampire's Kiss!!

Even if you don't wan't to watch the whole thing (it does drag in parts), just skip to the scenes of of Nic Cage going apeshit batty on his secretary (Alva!), and especially the climax of the film in which he is staggering around the upper east side with a pair of those cheap plastic vampire teeth and shard of plywood imploring early-rising Wall Street types to: "Kill me. I'm a Vampire. I swear.." Fucking hilarious.

Watch Sleeping Dogs Lie! It's the Bobcat Goldthwait movie about a woman haunted by having blown her dog in college. Given the subject matter, I thought it was going to be another Shakes The Clown, but it's actually a really good and sometimes quite affecting little indie comdramedy.

A Leg Made Footless From Pot (Deric W. Haircare), Wednesday, 8 July 2009 12:40 (sixteen years ago)

they have a shitload of Criterion films, if that's your thing.

soul ma cosa nostra (Eisbaer), Saturday, 22 October 2011 01:49 (fourteen years ago)

what information are the asking for? the same basic shit every site that provides a useful service asks for? what are privvies?

some dude, Saturday, 22 October 2011 01:52 (fourteen years ago)

it's been a while since i signed up, so i don't remember. they claim to "tailor" the ads that play when you watch the TV shows and some of the movies, though that doesn't seem to work so well.

soul ma cosa nostra (Eisbaer), Saturday, 22 October 2011 02:03 (fourteen years ago)

idk, name birthday zip code. but I can watch without registering. so why should I register?

dayo, Saturday, 22 October 2011 02:06 (fourteen years ago)

registering is only useful if you want to queue stuff or receive email notifications for shows etc. that you're subscribed to. you can just put fake info in, though.

All the "Criterion"s streaming on Hulu, 716 films. Doesn't include DVD/Blu-ray releases for which Hulu doesn't have streaming rights, and doesn't include Netflix streaming titles. A/An/The messes up sorting by title, and directors aren't last-name-first. Still, the file has some utility.
