day one of lower-sixth: jasper, a large and boisterous chap, steams into the brand new law room and writes "JASPER IS FUCKING ACE" across the brand new whiteboard with what turns out to be ... ah, you can guess the rest.

weirdly, it seemed to take the teacher ages to work out who'd done it.

for all i know, it's still there.

^^^ the way to get out of that is, when questioned by the teacher, say "I didn't do it sir, someone else put my name on the board to get me into trouble".

coming from jasper -- "i was trying to write my essay on my dad's computer [this was the early 1990s] and i got cross and threw a book at the computer. it must have landed on the delete button, because when i came back there was nothing there, and that's why i haven't handed it in" -- that wouldn't have washed.

rather like the whiteboard. god, i slay myself sometimes, i really do.
