max, Thursday, 24 July 2008 03:47 (seventeen years ago)

i just want usa to be an all law and order all the time channel

max, Thursday, 24 July 2008 03:48 (seventeen years ago)

hahah me too, can't they afford their own network yet?

get bent, Thursday, 24 July 2008 03:51 (seventeen years ago)

seriously, every day either tnt or usa has an l&o marathon, why cant someone just figure this shit out and put them on all the time?

thats what i thought the 'sleuth' channel would be but the only good shows they have are homicide and robbery homicide division

max, Thursday, 24 July 2008 03:53 (seventeen years ago)

and miami vice

max, Thursday, 24 July 2008 03:57 (seventeen years ago)

any show on usa not svu/ci is a dud

i like monk

get bent, Thursday, 24 July 2008 04:01 (seventeen years ago)

Burn Notice is pretty decent. The fact that Bruce Campbell plays a regular character makes it better than 90% of TV. It's a fun, light show.

I used to like Monk, but it feels like that show has someone got even slower and slower... aggressively pursuing the Matlock demographic?

...I don't like In Plain Sight, but those ads with Mary McCormack... almost convince me to watch it. Almost.

Nhex, Thursday, 24 July 2008 05:59 (seventeen years ago)

how old IS the matlock demographic these days??

get bent, Thursday, 24 July 2008 06:04 (seventeen years ago)

Dead six years ago.

I think one of these shows has the blonde cylon chick and bruce campbell, so it's pretty much worth it. I'd torrent the show now, except I'm too drunk to work the controls, as it were.

kingfish, Thursday, 24 July 2008 06:28 (seventeen years ago)

Burn Notice = not bad (caveats in place); blonde Cylon chick is a Special Guest Star; Gabrielle Anwar is the smug chick co-lead. Fun for "insider" spy stuff, puffy Bruce Campbell, charming / ridiculous accents by hard-dashing leading man (from the Blair Witch Project TWO). Also, Sharon Gless.

In Plain Sight = max is fucking broken because tho IPS chick was kinda balls on West Wing she was great in Murder One and ergo great so stfu :D j/k; show's kinda pfft, tho (from the one I saw); Paul Ben-Victor's a regular, I think, so YMMV

And since no one asked:

Psych = my fave of the USA / sub-NBC weekly grinds, but Season 3 just premiered, and it was kinda crap (thank you, drugged out Cybil Shepherd). President's helper from West Wing + cameo dude from Dukes of Hazzard / Beerfest do dopey fake PI psychic investigation stuff. Goofy as hell, and better when it REMEMBERS to be goofy. The best eps of the show were actually co-written by cameo dude (James Roday)! Even on a bad day, actually veers from pro-forma TV funny to ACTUALLY FUNNY (tho, again, YMMV). Co-stars Corbin Bernsen as gruff ex-cop dad.

ya i like psych too. it is charming.

adam, Thursday, 24 July 2008 13:56 (seventeen years ago)

Psych is bit weaker than Monk, I think, but also I don't love the main guy (but Dule Hill is still great, just like in the West Wing).
