And the winner is... Jel! (He's the closest anyway) I did buy lighting - two picture lights and one of those wall to wall suspended halogen dealies.

But there's more! I also got one of those organising rail and hook systems that go under the kitchen cabinets, and a set of three white china plant pots with a tray (that's to go inside a mini greenhouse I already have so that I can grow some fresh herbs that won't get eaten by my cats) and just for fun, I got a paper mobile. A pine picture shelf. Oh and I *did* get candles too, sort of, the mandatory bag of 100 tealights for 4.50.

I wanted to buy a chair and an ottoman, but this trip was just an all my little hands could carry type, and I was pretty loaded down already, so they wait until next time. There is tons of cool stuff in the kids section that I'll have to get too - I do have a little neice and nephew, but just between you and me, some of that stuff is so cool that it may never get to them. Why oh why can't they make living room tents for adults?

nine months pass...
Kim have you been to Ikea again lately?

Why yes, yes I have. In November I bought a gigantic birch sideboard for my kitchen, and more recently I did some X-mas shopping there. I got my brother some retro looking coasters and a frosted glass lamp, and in the kids section I found a giant leopard print snake for my 3 yr old nephew Darragh. It was a successful gift to say the least (meaning he COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT). I still kind of want a tent in my living room though.

Living room tents for adults...you should develop and market that idea Kim! That dude in the Royal Tanenbaums had one in his room.

Which reminds me that I still have got to see the Royal Tennenbaums!

I can always improvise with a couch cushion/blanket fort though...
