Slow Monday.

George Lam? Chinese guy?

Tom D Gives You the Big Reassure (Tom D.), Monday, 29 September 2008 09:57 (seventeen years ago)

Steve Jones is just irksome, the other two are probably two of the worst human beings ever to have worked this planet.

Carrie Bradshaw Layfield (The stickman from the hilarious 'xkcd' comics), Monday, 29 September 2008 09:59 (seventeen years ago)

Nick, you need to open this up to Grimmy, Chung, Oliver etc.

jane hussein lane (suzy), Monday, 29 September 2008 10:01 (seventeen years ago)

Steve Jones by a considerable margin.

Raw Patrick, Monday, 29 September 2008 10:06 (seventeen years ago)

I haven't had the pleasure of hearing Nick Grimshaw but based on this page he looks like he would fit seamlessly into the company of the others.

The girls bother me less because they don't pretend to be anything more than they are, which is to say overachieving, vacuous pop groupies.

ShNick (Upt0eleven), Monday, 29 September 2008 10:07 (seventeen years ago)

I like Steve Jones - he's not a *great presenter, but he's not needles-under-fingernails excrusiating either. Lamb is dumb as a brick, and the documentary on Lily Allen that he presented a whiles back (he used to be her manager?) was just terrible, a nadir of pop TV. Zane is hugely irritating, patently about an nth as funny as he thinks he is, and is the most likely to be an Alan Partridge behind the scenes.

I met Steve Jones a few times when he was still a regional welsh presenter, and he was alright, actually.

nate woolls, Monday, 29 September 2008 10:29 (seventeen years ago)

I like Alexa, in that "she could actually be your girlfriend" way. Like Louise Wener, back in the day..

I vote Alex Zane, for almost being cool and right, but actually being posessed by the bodysnatchers really.

Mark G, Monday, 29 September 2008 10:56 (seventeen years ago)

George Lamb is just not very good. You can compare him to Dermot O'Leary directly, to see what he's not measuring up to.

Zizzy Florozzo was at least nothing more than what she is.

Mark G, Monday, 29 September 2008 11:00 (seventeen years ago)

Zane is at least hot.

You should be an artist, in in your shower. (Autumn Almanac), Monday, 29 September 2008 11:01 (seventeen years ago)

Zane will feed you to his corporate sponsors every time.

Mark G, Monday, 29 September 2008 11:04 (seventeen years ago)

I don't want to hear him speak.

Lamb tries it with Kink and provides another argument in favour of privatisation of the BBC.

It's 10.00 and I'm Huw Edwards. I don't write this stuff. (Marcello Carlin), Wednesday, 1 October 2008 15:23 (seventeen years ago)

The other two are bad, Lamb truly is history's greatest monster.

Neil S, Wednesday, 1 October 2008 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

Lamb also branded Late Of The Pier "wazzocks" after they pretty much gave up on his on-air interview including questions such as "is your album any good?" and then claimed he'd use his contacts to make sure they're not around next year - according to the latest Stool Pigeon

They're a '90s odd couple. And an odds-on choice for laughs. (blueski), Wednesday, 1 October 2008 15:32 (seventeen years ago)

Oh FFS I hate every young male music/youth TV presenter under the age of 30, especially if they have good looking girlfriends.

But, I'll vote Zane.

Autobot Lover (jel --), Wednesday, 1 October 2008 15:34 (seventeen years ago)

His contacts?

His dad's in EastEnders and he makes Lesley Douglas' cunt wet - hardly the Krays, is it?

Right, change my vote plz...

Off of Alex Zane, onto George "all powerful" Lamb...

Mark G, Wednesday, 1 October 2008 15:42 (seventeen years ago)

He'll smite you, he's probably omnipotent.

Autobot Lover (jel --), Wednesday, 1 October 2008 16:00 (seventeen years ago)

I don't feel any smiting happening just yet!

Mark G, Wednesday, 1 October 2008 16:01 (seventeen years ago)

he makes Lesley Douglas' cunt wet

Britain's Obtusest Shepherd (Alan), Thursday, 2 October 2008 09:59 (seventeen years ago)

His dad's in EastEnders

What? George is Larry's son?!?!

Tom D says "...get them fuckin' up here, ya fuckin' walloper!" (Tom D.), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:02 (seventeen years ago)

yes. he is gavin (gavin's dad's son)

Britain's Obtusest Shepherd (Alan), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:03 (seventeen years ago)

Oh FFS I hate every young male music/youth TV presenter under the age of 30

George Lamb is surely about 40? No, just 29! I thought he was at least in his 30s...

I haven't seen Lamb in anything for ages, so I'm happy for him to continue living I suppose. Steve Jones represents a vague everything that is wrong with E4 and related, but ramped up a bit, while also being incredibly boring. I don't mind Alex Zane even though I have many reasons to, so he can be the lucky recipient of my urine.

Listen to that Ray Davies interview and you will change your mind on that one

Tom D says "...get them fuckin' up here, ya fuckin' walloper!" (Tom D.), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:10 (seventeen years ago)

from the interview:

"here's a nice track from a nice chap, Damon Albarn"

Damon's NICE? really??

graft Veronica's limbless torso to the 'paalmino' pony called Juno (stevie), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:17 (seventeen years ago)

There's been a lot of "Ray Davies is a godhead" comment, but to be honest if the interview had been with the lead singer of the Wombats, and he'd also rung off, my opinion would be the same.

Mark G, Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:17 (seventeen years ago)

Plus everyone knows Ray Davies is a grumpy git anyway, how did he expect him to react?

Tom D says "...get them fuckin' up here, ya fuckin' walloper!" (Tom D.), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:19 (seventeen years ago)

Ray, what's the biggest guitar you've every played?

Britain's Obtusest Shepherd (Alan), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:19 (seventeen years ago)

He'd probably only heard of Davies when planning that day's show anyway.

Neil S, Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:50 (seventeen years ago)

proof there are worse radio interviews to be had

Britain's Obtusest Shepherd (Alan), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:52 (seventeen years ago)

(not actually alan partridge)

Britain's Obtusest Shepherd (Alan), Thursday, 2 October 2008 10:52 (seventeen years ago)

I want Lamb to be Roasted by Ofcom and Lesley Douglas kicked out of 6 Music

I thought for a minute he'd played the Peter Wyngarde album there!

steve jones is okay. zane wants to be simon amstell so badly it's a joke.

can I also add here that I love miquita oliver? I think she lives near me too, it could happen for us.

Local Garda, Sunday, 5 October 2008 13:17 (seventeen years ago)

I don't know who two out of these three people are. Clearly I don't watch enough TV.

Matt DC, Sunday, 5 October 2008 13:28 (seventeen years ago)

Steve Jones at least knows.

Hmm, if this poll was re-run,I suspect the votes would be different.

Mark G, Sunday, 5 October 2008 19:20 (seventeen years ago)

one year passes...

RIP George Lamb:

BBC 6 Music presenter George Lamb and his co-host Marc Hughes are leaving BBC 6 Music.
