Chicago: I am in you.

O.k., so I'm going to be in Chicago until tomorrow and need some things to do.

1. Record Store
2. Awesome FOODIES
3. Any other attractions of note.

Also, I have two extra tickets to see Throbbing Gristle tonight, if y'all would like to join us.

1. Laurie's Planet of Sound, Dusty Groove, Reckless (two locations). All googleable. If you've got a rental car, Beverly Records has thousands of used records, and Mr. Peabody's (also on the far south side) is an A+ source for rare dance/house/electro oldies, and the two DJs who own and run the place are ultra-friendly.

2. If you've got a car and like Indian food, go up to Devon street. Google Tiffin or Viceroy of India, and head in that direction and walk around. Sultan's Market in Wicker Park is simple, delicious middle-eastern. Duke of Perth = delicious pub food, Scottish ales. Cafe 28 = Cuban, delcious.

I'm playing songs between some short plays at this event tonight, so no Throbbing Gristle for me.

I don't think I've been in a record store in a couple of years. That's funny, considering how much I enjoyed doing that back in the day. I think the last time was Reckless on Broadway. I bought this CD called "You’re Talking to the Wrong Guy" by some guy with an unpronounceable last name. I can't remember the last record I bought.

I haven't bought a CD in God knows. But I am the (type of) guy who accounts for the huge spike in vinyl sales.

I think I want to sell all my records. Just another step in the eradication of physical media in my home and life.

So Chicago. Hang out at Noble Tree Coffee and eat some pie. Its around Broadway and Fullerton. Just wait till I leave.

Actually Clark and Fullerton. I'm lost.

Speaking of coffee, remember Filter? Wow, that place was annoying. Especially when you could smoke inside.
