...because he reminds me a bit of Mark S. But then I realized it would sound sort of like Marquess and that would be wrong -- people would think I was one of those snooty aspiring yuppies who carry their cats around on silk pillows and feed them from crystal dishes.

MarXor! that'd be a good name! Makes it sound like a robot manga cat!

(what did you call your cat?)

careful you don't fall foul of "new" labour's kitten tax. that tony blairs -- he'd leave his own children drunk in leicester square if he could. bah

Even worse, people could think you named it Marqueses after the Survivor locale. You should name it Marky Mark.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

call it KITTY GALORE!

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I will upload pictures later this week if possible, but I have another paper due Wednesday so I don't have time at the mo.

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

KITTY GALORE! is a great name as long as you include the exclamation point.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No, I have already decided on Sully.

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Will you call him "Sir Sullikins Velvetpaws, Esq" for short?

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

actually Nicole, i've looked into what Dan said and you don't have a choice. it's the LAW!

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How could I say no to that?

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

For short, hm? I'll have to say it again, go for my grandparents' cat name of Wootsietootsiebenhurflurflurcecilrellaclarabellethomascat.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Another possibility would be Rikki Tikki Tembo No Sa Rembo Chari Bari Ruchi Pip Peri Pembo.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hurrah!

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

My friend has got cats called Kandahar and Jalalabad.

Pete, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I once met a pair of cats named "Starboard" and "Port." Gosh, I wonder what their human/s were into?

j.lu, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Animal abuse.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

aha! a clue!

Josh, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was going to say "frottage", but Ned and Josh beat me to the punch.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned and Josh are "rub" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (I'm amazed I resisted making that joke for as long as I did.)

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

In the words of the Robot Monster: "Now I will kill you."

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I just meant a clue about the Source of All Things Ned. To Hell with You! ;-)
