Willow quotes Mark S! (quasi-spoiler? - not really)

Okay, so ignorant me doesn't know if it was actually Mark who came up with the phrase, but when Willow says "SEE WHAT I DID THERE??!?" in the last episode season 7 (which I watched just then), it sounded EXACTLY like how I imagined Mark S would say it. Does this confirm his feedback-loop theory? Do we have a connected lurker? Or is Willow actually Mark S in disguise?

Feel free to talk about other tv shows which have quoted you while I ponder this, cough, co-incidence...

Willow can't be Mark S because my new kitten is Mark S.

How did I miss Willow saying that, anyway? Which episode was that from?

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i think i stole it off ptee or maybe tom, i certainly didn't invent it

glory = mark s in disguise

mark s, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It was just after "Fly, my pretty, fly!"

I am AFEARED of saying more due to rampant spoilerism.

Tim, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

glory's brother = not mark s in disguise howevah

i was having a good old WALLOW on IMDB this morning looking at "the adventures of pete and pete" (no i don't suppose anyone else here has a CLUE whot i am talking about) and wondering where i can get it on video (answer: nowhere as NO ONE REMEMBERS IT!) and LO!! michelle trachtenberg was in it! blimey it's a small world ect!

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I remember Pete and Pete! It was great despite a Michael Stipe cameo. Maybe posterity would remember it better had it been named the Adventures of Ptee and Ptee.

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Adventures of Pete and Pete was on terrestrial telly at 9:30 in the morning earlier on this year Ktee.

RickyT, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

NOT ONLY stipe but also debbie harry, iggy pop, kate pierson and STEVE BUSCEMI!!

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

OH GOD NOOOOO RICK HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED IT!?!? *beats head against wall* GRRR!

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, but I didn't mind them. Stipey, otoh...

Nicole, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Err, you were at work, Ktee?

RickyT, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I very much doubt it was the last ep of season 7, somehow...

Sarah, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yes *sob* of course i would have been at WORK but you'd have thort that my eye would have been DRAWN to it in the TV listings, or i'd have spotted some advertising or something. curse my dunderheadedness! nicole i thought stipes cameo was OK, took me a while (so i recall, it was AGES ago) to realise that that WASNT HIM under the big ice cream cone head though!

(oh and ps buffy buffy buffy willow yay so as not to be off topic ;))

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It was just after "Fly, my pretty, fly!"

This is amusing me terribly for some unknown reason. :-)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The phrase is from "Mr. Saturday Night"/

Sterling Clover, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i swear there was an episode where Buffy said "I larfed non-stop, (and so did Dr Vick)"

Alan T, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

and then there was that episode where Giles admonished the Scooby Gang, telling them "it's the third chapter of the league of Garoolar, a very powerful and dangerous sect of vampires OBV!"

katie, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

david h, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Didn't Angel once say "Spike, do you like Hitler?"?

Martin Skidmore, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry I meant Season 6.

And it was not what she said, it was the *way* she said it - so falsely earnest!

Okay I am obsessive over these niggling details I will happily admit.

Tim, Tuesday, 23 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
