i wanted some place to put mp3s but all hosts seems to be only 20 mb. And i wanted one where i can just send the files and link to a blog or sumthin without a webpage there. There is one or should i just fuck off and go to mp3.com?

I don't think there are many hosts that offer that much MB without charging. MP3.com is a bit of a chore, coz you have to wait ages for them to process your songs. I know people who have stored songs on angelfire, but they only have the 20MB thing. Graffiti.net is good for file storage (it's also 20MB)

I dunno what this filepile thing is, or if an FTP would be any use, anyone?

If you're willing to pay about $14.00 a month, yahoo is really nice.

website.yahoo.com

100 MB of space, FTP access, and it works very nicely with blogger.

As for free... um, I don't know. Find a really geeky friend with their own server & beg some space, I guess.
