yo thanks for the welcome backs, R & R......sorry i am so atrocious with the upkeep but forty ounce on my lap and it's freezin my BAAAAAAALLs......since were already derailing esteemed brother ant's thread, let me kick a movie review......i rented TAPE starring ethan hawke last night......i stopped watching after 20 minutes because a) just like nearly every bitchass would be-indie film attempt at the Unhinged Violent Quirky Young Guy portrayal, the UVQYG is a bug-eyed, squeaky, fruitball dork with nary a spark of palpable hardness that acts like he wouldn't even have the balls to key up an unoccupied meter maid mobile at 5 in the morning b) 20 minutes in, i thought to myself "well, judging by how fucking CORNY the dialogue has been so far, i'm guessing the director is the kind of dipshit that thinks it'll be utterly cleverfresh proof of his cost-effective indie resourcefulness if noone leaves this one hotel room" and i fwwded to the end.....oh.... SPOILER ALERT!!!

Ha. 3 scenes from TAPE were actually what my film class had to recreate this spring at the behest of one of our professors, to the consternation of the other prof. who thought it was all so lame - and particularly smarmy considering he had chosen the admission-of-rape (which-though-maybe-"isn't"-a-rape, ooops-spoilers?) scene ("i pushed her arms back and stuck my dick in her" - why did he have to choose this scene?). of course the class liked much better the version a few of us recreated which could be subtitled "First Experiences in Marijuana" that we showed at the party on the last day of class, wherein I got to play the film director and was cued to explain in between screams of "i'm so high i can fly" that "i pushed her dick back and stuck my arms in her," come to think of it even the professors enjoyed this version more.

but at the party they were getting drunk, so maybe thats why.
