I say Classic by a million miles.......search his roles in Boogie nights, Carlitos way (pachanga thinks you're a piece of shit!), OZ, House of Buggin (the only salvagable thing about that bomb), Black Rain.....destroy: anything where he ISN'T being a walking PR stereotype.......Out of Sight, the LIMEY (holy shit, i just saw this....soderbergh is the corniest piece of human feces on earth.....and i thought Traffic was mad sidelines).

I'll speak more on Luis when i got more time but for now discuss your favorite LG moments.

The "sports and milk" outtakes on Magnolia alone assure him of classic status, especially where she throws the milk over him.

None more classic.

Unless my memory is playing me very false, I first noticed him on Hill Street Blues, where he was great. Yep, classic.

Guzman is fantastic in Traffic (obviously one of Soderberghs favourites) - the bit in the lemonade scene is hilarious, and of course cos its the funny character that dies we feel more for his partner. Needs more headlining appearances - but he is almost the anti-Denzel Washington, his appearance guarantees a decent film.

five months pass...
I really miss Ramosi, now. Luis Guzman is like Paul Lambert/Neil Lennon (I'm struggling to think of an English footballing equivalent - perhaps Roy Keane but he's far too high profile to go unnoticed now) - one of those guys who do lots of work and are instrumental to the workings but hardly ever get noticed whilst in the thick of the action, they do a lot of running off the ball, and a lot of incorporeal work - it's only when you sit up and look! that you see that they're just that bit special.

Has he ever been the lead actor? OK, has he ever turned in performances capable of winning oscars, plugging dams, feeding Biafra, or muting George Harrison's "I've Got My Mind Set On You"? OK, so do you SEE?!

Still wonder why Benicio Del Boredo got an Oscar for Traffic when Guzman is clearly superior.

I assumed this was cuz Benicio had the more interesting role. All Guzman got to do was standard boring buddy-cop movie stuff. (He is great tho!)
