I am having a brilliant time here.
5 Radiohead gigs so far, and the new songs are amazing.
I completely blagged my way into the afterparty the night before last. Met Phil Selway and Ed O'Brien and chatted with them a bit. Phil is the sweetest person I've ever met.
Haven't met Jonny Greenwood yet, but I WILL, damnit. He did recognize me from the stage though (I've been front row quite a few nights, and he recognized my Radiohead messageboard username from the geeky sign I was holding), so he said hi.
I met Thom in Lisbon, and gave him a CD of Tom Waits' demos for
Alice. He was really really pleased.
I'm going to try to talk my way into some more afterparties in San Sebastian and Salamanca. Wish me luck. I really really want to meet Jonny.
I have some really great pictures as well, and good quality bootlegs are plentiful.
Only sore point so far is that I got mugged a few days ago. It wasn't too bad, though.
I will be back in about a week and a half, raving about the shows again.

Am I alone in finding this incomprehensible? Anyway, flippancy aside,
following your favourite band around Europe is hugely enviable. I'm
not sure I'd consider the experience perfect without sleeping with at
least one member of the band, but that might be just me. Have fun,
and don't get mugged again.

Hurrah for Melissa! Except the mugging part, that bites. :-( But I'm
glad to hear you've been able to do everything you've wanted to do so
far, except for meeting up with that Johnny person. And you didn't
even need the promise of an article to do it! :-) Keep in touch and

Hello Melissa, glad to hear everything's still going well, pass on my

I'm a mere lightweight compared to Melissa - i only made it to the
first 2 gigs in Lisbon - new stuff is totally ace. On a sad fan girl
note Mr O'Brien is sexier than ever.
