Won't it raise the price of petrol in the interim, though?

Dom Passantino, Monday, 29 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The economy won't improve de-facto, but it will stop being the lead item on the news.

Pete, Monday, 29 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It already stopped being the LEAD item in OUR news.

dave q, I find your take on this repulsive, but to try to answer your question: in the short run it might improve. If Bush wants to wage war after war and alienate U.S. allies, in the long run it's going to speed up the decline of the U.S. as a super-power. That may or may not be a good thing, but there's no guarantee that anything better is going to take our place.

A much better question: will my sex life improve if Iraq is invaded?

Aimless, Monday, 29 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

economy = sex life now, Aimless
