1. how many pages have your address on 2. what is the first ilx thread that google brings back?

gareth, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 1520 2. this, thankfully nothing embarrassing!

gareth, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 1860

2. "coming soon to an IL* nr you" (an identity theft thread!)
"Can YOU survive???"

jel --, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 716 2. this

It could be worse, I suppose.

Nicole, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 592

2) "Does anyone have any cute animal pictures"

Maria, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Number two was supposed to be the "I am so hungry today" thread, I'm not the greatest at linking properly.

Nicole, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1130, perfect album length

RickyT, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A paltry 460. First one is that cheesy one about watches, all the more distressing because that nice RJG went and won the thread.

Tim, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

For amazingness.com: about 336. And the two ILE threads that pop up are "Night Wear: Search and Destroy" and "Mock DYKES!!" ok ok ok 'Mock Lesbians'.

For themoderninter.net: about 560. Threads: 'lets welcome Linda' (although she has never posted since then so meh, you cuold have picked a better one google) and 'vegan vs dead cow jello'.

Sarah, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

and you see my future wife will google my email address and go 1860? does he do anything but post on the internet? *sigh*

jel --, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Dr. C, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 539

2.' Has anybody here been to a Boredoms gig?'

Andrew L, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1820. Annoyingly, this crappy ILE question comes up first.

N., Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1350 - and this innocuous shopping basket thread from last month is currently googles favourite - backed up by one about soup.

Pete, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 1050 2. The one where I tease Nick, get very bored, and disfavour myself with Alix

Graham, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

3,870!

"Need to improve your mood? Just use sperm!"

Dan so envies me. I hope.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

gareth, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Chupa-Cabras, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i meant ned, not dan

Doubtless. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anthony, google hides all but two from each host unless you click on the thing to get more. Your address actually yields 891 hits (see number at the top of the results page)

N., Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

a showing of restraint with just ninety-two results.

first of all it gives me this thread...another unfortunately weak one that had seemed like such a good idea. beforehand.

RJG, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's not a thread!

N., Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1,990: Need to improve your mood? Just use sperm!

I am the precise laser-beam to Ned's hulking blunderbuss.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

remind me! remember things for me! I'll just forget!

THIS is a thread...I DO HOPE.

RJG, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I am the precise laser-beam to Ned's hulking blunderbuss.

Ahem.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Approx 91 results, and the top ILE one is that damn "Bras: what's the point?" thread in which I believe I admit to all kinds of embarassing things. Although one date who googled me combed through the whole "What are you wearing right now?" thread and ordered me to wear the pink gingham housedress when I met him. Needless to say, he was disappointed.

Pyth, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 1520 2. i get Pete's shopping baskets thread, too

Tracer hand, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1) 72 (I demand a recount)

2) I'm very pleased to say it's "Josie and the Pussycats: Classic Or Dud"

Andrew Farrell, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

451, now 452. This golden oldie.

Billy Dods, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1) 253. Luh-luh-luh-lame.

2) Internet Radio Stations, where I display remarkable bitterness about my ex-girlfriend. How embarassing.

Dave M., Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

on the one I use now - 185 and the first thread is I heart Paris in the Springtime.

on old addy - 586 and the first thread is "one day to go" where I leave my job.

chris, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i would also like to say "WTF" to that copy of the cover connections thread living on austinpowers.com

Ron, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

730 (!). this is the thread

electric sound of jim, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

what I love is the way that google seems to give you a snapshot of your best lines: "Are you calling me a cunt, you cunt?" "It's an outrage" "They've spent so much time wunking, it's damaged their minds" "Hanging gardens of babylon, that was scary". Taken out of context they seem better. I suspect that google has better taste than me.

Matt, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

35 but i'm still pretty fresh. The first thread is where should I move to with Chirs response of Worchester...Polar Golden Ginger Ale allround!!!

brg30, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"A very english version of Jackass called 'well that's just silly'" Ha! I'd forgotten about that.

Matt, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

a very disappointing 135, and the winner is "I met some crepes from the internet"

petra jane, Tuesday, 30 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

for my lucylurex address, the first thread that came up was participate in our programme from identity theft. 204 pages.

for [email protected] i got more identity theft, boys are as boring as computers or something or other and 234 pages.

[email protected] gets so how many ILx posters have you, you know... and 346 pages.

[email protected] got i hate my father and 110 found. which adds up to a grand total of 894 i think.

di, Wednesday, 31 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

none of my links worked. oh well. cheezwhizz had 7 pages found, and the first that came up was "find me a job".

di, Wednesday, 31 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 672. 2. An Anthony thread on Roy Lichtenstein.

Martin Skidmore, Wednesday, 31 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Matt is right, reading the google highlights is fun!

"I don't want ghosts in my jeans pockets"

"Someone will have to be Mandy Moore!"

"He's gonna be the British Fred Durst! I think he'll do well!"

"I'm in the house watching TV"

"I like a perfect circle though!"

jel --, Wednesday, 31 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"When was the last time something good happened to you on a Tuesday?"

I'm gonna make all my posts short and snappy like google hi-lites from now on!

jel --, Wednesday, 31 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1) 189
2) "Does anyone have any cute animal pictures" (but the one I was trying to post wasn't so cute).

j.lu, Thursday, 1 August 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1. 601
2. This. An HTML Picture Tryout thread, featuring something blue and something Pierre et Gilles from Anthony, and a crusty band and Hugo Weaving from Jeff. Plus me as Twentysomething Jesus and a picture of my Dad and Aunt wearing retro-Turn of the Century outfits in the Thirties.

Arthur, Thursday, 1 August 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Or maybe this.
