Memory provoking music

Last nite driving home from work a song came on the radio (You got the love - Candi Staton & the Source) which brought back memories of my 18th birthday when I was at a do with some friends. We were all sitting by the stairs with a load of people we didn't know, then all of a sudden we all started singing this song. Admitedly, we were all VERY HAPPY at the time, but it was so cool at that moment! What songs bring back memories for u?

There are three albums -- the Primitives' Pure, the Dead Milkmen's Big Lizard in My Backyard and XTC's Skylarking -- that specifically bring back memories for me of the late eighties, end of spring quarter, first year at UCLA, the weather, the experience, just a general rush of thoughts and things. Something comfortable about those albums in ways.

has to be 'live forever'. reminds me of a time when i was completely different person (13 at that time) in that my whole outlook on life and the world was much simpler.

Celtic music- especially t his CD reminds me of doing homework with my best friend in college at 3 AM. We always had arguments over listening to quiet music or loud music, but she always won & put on that album. And the song "All I Want for Christmas are my 2 Front Teeth" instantly reminds me of being about 6 & making christmas cookies with my little sister.
