what time of day are you thinkin about? cause if it's a nice day (hey it happens, look at today) it'd bee cool to just buy beer & drink outside. i don't like any pubs much. (but i'll go if you guys are there tho o'course, that's cool)

yes the sunny day idea appeals to me though like today is beautiful sunny but still COLD here...beer during the day is nice. Maybe we could go somewhere where we could see the light changing with sundown...I like some old-man type pubs I suppose well for novelty value.

did anyone decide on a pub yet? the clarendon has come up in conversations, how does everybody feel about this? or somewhere in south dunedin maybe? also... will be establishing a STUDY PLAN *shudders* this afternoon, i will let yas know when a good time is. however wednesday night, thursday night and friday night are definitely not good for me.

the FAP was good. I was overly excited about seeing everyone, and I arrived early, which meant that I had time to play two games of pool with "Rich" and "Ross". Ross was a type A bogan, he was impressed and a little scared by my pool playing abilities. "Bloody hell, I'm getting beaten by a GIRL!".

When Di and Duane turned up, I was really relieved.

The thing about the Clarendon is that apart from the frightening locals*, it is really great! It is super warm, and really clean and well lit and there is a big screen TV playing all the most classic eighties songs you care to mention. The snacks are really great too, we had a big thing of bread and cheese and olives and whatnot and also we had wedges and garlic bread.

The other thing about the Clarendon is that there is a massive fish tank set into the wall, and I couldn't stop looking at it and wanting to eat all the fish.

Also another thing about that place is that there is like a kind of casino bit, with like, slot machines and all. A woman kept on coming in and out of there with a plastic cup full (and then empty) of coins. Her dress was black, with a pattern of irridescent horseshoes on it.

In case you want to know what we talked about, i think we mostly talked about Ned. Ned and George Michael. But perhaps we talked about other things that I can't recall now. the beer was very cheap.

*I mean Ross and Rich et al, not me and Di etc!

the beer WAS cheap: they had jugs of monteiths (= the second best beer in NZ) for only $6!!!!
