"JACKASS: The Movie" star Johnny Knoxville has the top-grossing flick in
America, so get ready to see a lot more of the gross-out guru. Knoxville will
star opposite Christina Applegate in "Grand Theft Parsons," based on the true
story of the death of country rocker Gram Parsons. The Hollywood Reporter says
Knoxville will play Parsons' road manager, Phil Kaufman, who swiped Parsons'
casket and took it to Joshua Tree National Park in the California desert and
set it ablaze, fulfilling a pact he made with Parsons.

They are only doing this to upset me. I mean, honestly, who the hell are they going to get to play Gram Parson('s corpse)?

Yeah, you can buy it in the Blockbuster Previously Viewed section for like 8 bucks on DVD. Saw about thirteen copies there last weekened.

Has anyone seen it?

Tripmaker (SDWitzm), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 12:42 (twenty years ago)

I rented it. It was predictably bad but not so bad that I didn't watch the whole thing. I can't really remember much else about it, other than Johnny Knoxville riding around in a psychedelic hearse being chased by Christina Applegate or somebody like that.

I saw it on a plane last summer. It was truly terrible.

Billy Pilgrim (Billy Pilgrim), Tuesday, 4 October 2005 15:40 (twenty years ago)
