For some reason I need beer. Its the McGowan in me. Any other bands that you associate with drunkedness.

Replacements, Tom Waits, Jesus Lizard, Wu Tang Clan (particularly ODB).

Wait. You want to drink until you piss your pants or your desire to drink is so strong that you piss your pants?

I want to drink until I piss my pants. I write really awful Dan.

I always want to sip whisky when listening to Sandy Denny. Maybe because she's holding a glass on the front cover of 'Listen Listen'.

Being pissed and listening to the Rolling Stones is a fine state to be in.

I soooo hear y'all on The Pogues and Tom Waits and ODB.

Other drunken favs: James Brown, Ween, da Blues Explosion, Del, and on rarely super-drunk occasions big bombastic cock rock like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

Alkaline Trio only sound right drunk as well. I wish I knew why.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 5 December 2002 14:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Lucinda Williams is my drunken fave.

For me it is more the inverse. I only listen to The Pogues when I have to which usually is in Irish pubs. Where I then get drunk. Not so sure if I get drunk of The Pogues though. But they definitely don't help me in staying sober.

get drunk of The Pogues should read "get drunk because of The Pogues" of course.

Lync and Ordination of Aaron make me think of being drunk and crying in my room when I've just been dumped.

Pogues are for fun drinking, and Tom Waits is for shady drinking.

Firewater's first album had kind of a wobbly, slurred drunken thing going. And Crooked Fingers reminds me a little of early Tom Waits, particularly during his alcoholic boho phase.
Nick Cave makes me want to get drunk.

Dom: 'Coz Fuck You Aurora needs the drunken bender behind it to me meaningful

I got drunk to OMD's debut record last night. Basically I'll drink to anything.

Tom Waits and Nick Cave make me want to imbibe water mixed with "whiskey brown" food coloring from one of those jugs marked xxx they have at Disneyland on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
