tatu: please explain the situation (sorry that ive asked 2 questions and that ther have already been 2 threads on this)

what the hells going on? why are tatu no 1 in belgium? is this in the british charts? are they singing in english? i really dont understand. why has it only just come out? is 'nas ne dogonyat' around too, in some anglisiced form? is that in the charts? why is suddenly everyone talking about tatu? ps i have the album '2002 do vstrechi' (russian version) if anyone wants a copy. gosh this is weird. whats next, alcy? apparently shes into garage now (from www.2step.ru)

Yep, re-recorded with Nelle Hooper. I think the only "new" song is a cover of 'How Soon Is Now' which is OK, but hardly vintage. The English versions aren't as good as the Russian versions unfortunately, 'Ja Soshla Su Ma' (Now retitled 'All The Things She Said') in particular has been butchered with the bassline replaced with anonymous rock-bass, the drums replaced with pounding alterno-rock drums, and a horrible distorted guitar wash everywhere in place of the synth lines, the structure has also been alterered withthe middle 8 in a completely different place.

Nas Ne Dogojat is now 'Not Gonna Get Us' and isn't as good either but has been fiddled with less. 30 Minutes seem's about the same apart from the translated lyrics, but that was always pretty average, Robot is still in Russian but there is a dodgy 'keep this frequency clear' style sample all over the place..
