How much scarier could this possibly be?

Please....someone defend it!

Bobby Brown is starting to look like a sleepy Ol' Dirty Bastard.

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 16 December 2002 17:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Big Bobby Jesus! *ducks*

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 16 December 2002 17:32 (twenty-three years ago)

So much glaring, over-singing and silly dancing. It's really horrific.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 16 December 2002 17:51 (twenty-three years ago)

It has a big helicopter in it....

Anna (Anna), Monday, 16 December 2002 17:54 (twenty-three years ago)

It's dreadful beyond description and handily encapsulates virtually everything that's wrong with music, nay, popular culture today!

Ja Rule = Cookie Monster. Discuss.

maria b (maria b), Monday, 16 December 2002 18:26 (twenty-three years ago)

You just want him to cough and spit out the huge greeny he so obviously has stuck in his throat, but he never does. JUST FUCKING COUGH MAN!

Maelstrom, Monday, 16 December 2002 18:34 (twenty-three years ago)

no, guy from Cannibal Corpse = Cookie Monster
Ja = Grover

Al (sitcom), Monday, 16 December 2002 22:04 (twenty-three years ago)

I like how they answer the lady's question about when they're gonna make a video by pointing out the helicopter outside their window. Evidently for Ja Rule helicopters immediately imply a video shoot is afoot (unlike hot air balloons, which mean he's about to leave one). Evidently he never saw GODFATHER III.

Also, does anyone else get weirded out by the decontextualization of the word MURDER? It creeps me out to see these mindless playa wine'n'groove videos and the word MURDER is in big letters in the background (not to mention happily shouting MURDER! in the middle of a song). Would they have gotten away with RAPE INC?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 16 December 2002 23:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Best example of that is in "Gangsta Lovin" - it's pretty odd starting off the most nutrasweetish rap track ever with "MURDER INC RUFF RYDERS!", as if it's all about homocide and dangerous sex.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 16 December 2002 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Also, how much of a hardcore muthafucka has Bobby Brown turned out to be! Someone give him a Strepsil already!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 16 December 2002 23:55 (twenty-three years ago)

is Whitney Houston a tenderoni?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 16 December 2002 23:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Bobby Brown hardcore? LOL...... he's about as hardcore as my last turd, after an all night sushi-and sake-fest. Come to think of it... both kind of look the same too.

maria b (maria b), Tuesday, 17 December 2002 00:04 (twenty-three years ago)

My question is this: If things are so great and normal and going well between Psycho Whitney and Scary Bobby Brown, why is he out thuggin' and posing with scantily-clad vixens with Ja Rule? If I were Whitney and I saw this video, I'd go off on a crack, acid'n'amphetamine bender to rival Syd Barrett.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 17 December 2002 04:09 (twenty-three years ago)

Syd Barrett did crack?

James Blount (James Blount), Tuesday, 17 December 2002 04:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, probably not, but back in his day, I doubt he'd have said 'no' to it.

The *REAL* Murder Inc.
