So I wos listening to "Truancy" from Fantastic Damage for the first time in a couple months, and WHAP, this line hit me square in the skull:

"Step into the Def Jux office auditions like 'sausage'/Jam Master Jay woulda shot you/I stopped him"

In retrospect, that's pretty damned distressing.

I swear most of the references in that song make sense (he calls himself the "illest motherfucker since Oedipus" and "monkey number one million flipping 'Tempest' scripts' and stuff, it's awesome)!
