Please help i would love to see them and i think i have already made up my mind to do so but i want an element of expectation before my hopes are crushed by the addles of drugs and the 60's/70's

i saw them at highbury garage when the high llames were his backing band, circa 94...it was good, as far as old stuff on the comeback trails goes it did work out yeah

go for it man. Even if they suck you still get to say you saw Arthur Lee. This site give all sorts of reviews and from what I've read all the shows kick ass!

Saw them recently. Not an obsessive fan (I've only heard "Forever Changes") but I thought they were surprisingly wonderful. Quite a pared-down line-up but the band had plenty of punch so not the laid back/singer songwritery experience I'd feared. Lee wonderfully charismatic even if nutty as a fruitcake. Only fault was a little too much self-indulgent retro rawk guitar but a minor quibble. My wife (who knew them even less well than I did pre-concert) thought they were the best band she'd ever seen.

I can post a review, but I can't make a bootleg, sorry.

Love has toured a lot in the past coupla months.

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 20 December 2002 19:56 (twenty-three years ago)

the tour of the uk in january is with an orchestra playing forever changes in full (or at least the edinburgh show I'm involved with is) I saw them in august and they were fantastic. his voice is great and his band play it pretty true to the original intent. definitely go see them.

Chris, he played in Boston a couple months ago! Where were you? (Note - I wasn't there; I just saw notice of it @ the Middle East website.)

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 23 December 2002 15:03 (twenty-three years ago)

Uh, I haven't written it yet? I do have a life, y'know.

It was fucking awesome, though. Lee's voice is still in pretty top shape (although he forgets lyrics every once in a while).
