Tom (i think)'s 'Lionel Bart meets Outkast' description was pretty spot on, bit of an insult to Outkast tho. i can't stand it either...but if i was 7 years old it might be a different story. my significant other seems to think they're cool tho (sigh...)

the more annoying thing for me is how they're always referred to as 'garage collective'

I've heard some of their other stuff and it's just awful, but this I really like, I honestly can't understand the hostility against it, it's really catchy, bouncy pop, good voices, especially the woman who goes on about being a "paper chaser", she's good. Nah, nothing wrong with this at all. Okay, the Jo Whiley seal of approval puts a stain on it a bit, but, hell, it's a good track I think, one of my singles of the year even.
