Sounds all reet to me. Been groovin' to a copy of Quine/Maher's "Basic" I found recently, cheap. Also, Brown's 1970 band's material: the un-fake-audience-dubbed long version of "Get Up I Feel Like Being a Sex Machine," etc.

THis is pretty amazing, isn't it? Jess made a great point somewhere about Brown basically inventing microhouse w/ this track. The clipped phrases and half-grunts that he and Byrd echo back and forth in the long middle portion of the track...

This is one of the great works of art in the century. Microhouse? Yeah, microhouse in Augusta (or Cincinnati). Bobby Byrd's call/reponse shit on this track is a high point for sure. This is what Miles Davis had in mind when he tried to do "music-as-process" in the '70s. Plus, I dig the travelogue.
