What Kweli Song

it's not a track (as far as i know), i was referring to something he said in an interview a couple years ago, i wish i had it handy, but it was something along the lines of how white fans will come up to talk to him and say things like "oh Jay-Z is wack", to which he responds, "if you knew about hip hop, you wouldn't say Jay-Z is wack, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about". i don't know the context of his remark, because it was a pulled quote in CMJ, but i just remember really getting a kick out of reading it because at the time they were (and are) 2 of my favorite rappers, and this was before it was acceptable in some circles to admit Jay-Z makes good music (i.e. pre-Blueprint).

looking back at my post now, i do see that i kind of phrased that it in a way that led to your misunderstanding, i apologize. i guess that whole Xgau thread wasn't enough to make me watch my conjunctive clauses.

no problem about the confusion, i was just wondering because thats a great sentiment and i say it to my corny college-mates all the time
