It's not a bad idea at all. Kerbey Lane is open all night, as is Magnolia Cafe, and each has two locations. And -- for the brave -- Star Seeds Cafe, where the staff is rude and the music is loud, leaning toward nasty punk and Tom Waits, in equal measure.
Only problem is, I won't be there. I don't usually venture out to the shows -- parking is a purple shade of hell -- and anyway, there's the whole day job thing. And no offense, but since I live here, I feel no special need to go mingle with the tourists. Wait... that sounds way snootier than I meant it too. What I mean is, it'll take some kinda extraordinary show to lure me out to those crowds and those drink prices and that awful, awful parking situation.
