Only part of it. I still consider it a better album than "Definitely Maybe" though.

i never heard of any of these, you made this shit up

there's no Hanson, Period Pains or Helen Love. geir was clearly living in a parallel dimension 1997.

I was living in a parallel dimension called Europe. :-)

''i never heard of any of these, you made this shit up''

hahaha!!!! he might as well have.

Anyway, whoever hasn't heard of "OK Computer" must have been living in a parallel universe. Either that, or he was 10 years old in 1997. :-)

Why is Be Here Now a better album than Definitely Maybe?

My research indicates that unless heard in a kebab shop at 3 in the morning after far too much beer Be Here Now is tuneless bilge. It is still tuneless bilge at 3am in a kebab shop but somehow seems to suit the ambience i.e. inebriated, greasy and stodgy and generally not something you could want in your right mind - but that’s just me.

Barafundle on the other hand is great.

1997 was a wonderful year for me but this makes it seem fucking rubbish.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 10 March 2003 13:07 (twenty-three years ago)

a lot of the entries on Geir's lists seem really tokenistic e.g. 'Be Here Now' at number 20 of all places just smacks of a 'courtesy inclusion' - if it had been a top 50 then 'Be Here Now' would probably have been lower down. i sometimes do this with my own charts to be honest but try not to.
