Buy the Marble Sheep & the run down sun's children album Old From New Heads on Captain Trip if you haven't already. If you do buy it you will call me up and thank me a lot cuz it will change your life only I don't really think it sounds like the mummys. But ZZ Top? Sure, why not it's so loud and great that it must sound like them somewhere in there. This goes for everybody else as well. It'll tear your head off and then give you a new better one when they are done.

Get anything by the Pugs.

They're Japanese.

They have at least one record out in the US called PUGS BITE THE RED KNEE. It's sort of a "best-of" comp, and has a lot of overlap with another "best-of" comp on God Mountain called THE MEMORIES WITH PUGS.

The first thing I ever got from them was the BAMBIE BOO! album, and it sounds almost exactly like the subject line of this thread. I'm not joking.

Another band in that vein is Omoide Hatoba, who have several fantastic albums. Ones you can find easily: VUOY, MANTAKO, and KINSEI.

New Boris album Amplifier Worship might fit at least some of the bill. It's Japanese and horribly heavy.
