cyrille did play on the greaves/blegvad/hermann album "kew.rhone." and wyatt did a version of the title track on greaves album "songs". maybe this is it?
in any case,
greaves with henry cow - classic: one of the most inventive bass players i've ever heard (without being too up himself)kew.rhone. - also classic, if a little asceticgreaves on other blegvad albums - also pretty goodgreaves solo material - almost always terrible with his god awfull singing (worst is his latest - the caretaker) and clunky bar band productions. except for "songs" which is produced compeltely differently and which has some lovely vocalists taking his parts.

Phil OTM as usual. I've just listened to _Songs_ this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. The piano playing is particularly affecting as is the overall uncomplicated production and the continental European feel of it all. Outstanding choices for guest vocalists, I especially enjoy hearing Kristoff Blegvad take a couple of turns. The other Greaves collaborations worth hearing are _Kew Rhone_ and _Unearthed_, the latter a spoken-word thing with Peter Blegvad on vocals. Hmm, the common thread is keep Greaves away from the mike!

Some of the best songs on the greaves solo albums turn up again on other albums sung by people other than Greaves. For example, "Bee Dream" is on Blegvad's Just Woke Up, "Swelling Valley" is on, I think, this album those guys did under the name The Lodge.
I really tried to like Parrot Fashion, but yeah, the vocals.
