country joe's song IS great. Who's fucking with Fixin to Die Rag?? certyainly nobody nowadays.

Pearls Before Swine's Balaklava is also excellent.

So far, the only one who's done a good job dealing with this shit is Steve Earle, IMO.

I think Masters of War is still good. Strikes the balance between specificity and abstraction very well. Plus ending shows Bob isn't afraid to kick some ass when it's warranted (ie in the case of the titular warmongers).
