The base skin alone makes me like it more than WinAmp and Windows Media Player. The design kicks and for some reason it just sounds BETTER than Windows Media Player (ie, more present).

the best feature is that there are no gaps between tracks when playing CDs (as in winamp). the even smaller Quintessential CD version does the same thing. I like winamp because it's the fastest starting .mp3 program.

I haven't used WinAmp in a long time; how does the sound quality comapre? (I guess I could download it but I AM A LAZY LAZY MAN.)
