It is shocking and unacceptable that this band has only one thread, from 10 years ago, and only 3 posts. WT actual F

Zucker is classic beyond belief. Got me through freshman year. God what a horrible year.

i'm not even a fan of this band but I will gladly edit wikipedia to properly show that it's GNR that merits a modest footnote in the Fastbacks' history and not vice versa.

I was listening to Exile in Guyville today for the first time in ages, and that got me thinking about other albums that are 20 years old this year. One of them is Zucker, which at a certain point I listened to as much as anything (including Guyville). Their charms are maybe too obvious, it's all kind of one-note, but that was a good note.

I'm surprised I've never posted on this thread. Big big fan here. Answer The Phone Dummy is my favourite. Best songs, best production, totally solid. Love it. After that it's Very Very Powerful Motor - love the guitar sound on that record, and The Question is No/The Answer Is You which I didn't even realise until recently is a compilation of bsides, compilation appearance etc (though it doesn't sound like it). I always thought of it as a companion album to Dummy.

This reminds me that Captain Sensible posted something on Facebook a few weeks ago about Kurt Bloch joining him onstage for a few songs recently and throwing everyone off by soloing over everything. haha.

Just listening to the first album right now. Great stuff. One of the most consistent bands ever imo.
