What was the last piece of music that saved your life?

Right now for me it's "A Room With a View," by the wonderful wonderful late lamented underrated Pizzicato Five, dragging me by my feet out of the slough of despond into which I'd managed to maneuver myself.

What music does that for you? That's the threadintent here. It's also for well-adjusted people to say "Oh no music ever does that for me, I'm extremely well-adjusted and boring and a complete tool."

Pizzicato Five, seconded. "Good" from the "Romantique 96" LP is a life-affirmer if there ever was one. My vote for the group that I MOST want to see reform.

Utterly despondent on E, alone, walking around in the drizzle in Astoria, listening to the radio on my discman. "This Woman's Work," Maxwell, on ten, on local urban radio, with the loud and shiny FM reverb. Turned me right around.

I don't know if it's the last piece, but probably the most (recently) important. I really dug the Star Wars title music when I was a little kid with no friends in a new school.

Either "Negotiation Limerick File" by Beastie Boys or "Lick And Promise" by Aerosmith. I thank the Good Lawd every day that music still makes me giggle with glee.
