I do not know anything except an email that was sent to me. Is it a La's rehash or there is anything worth retrieving from the fire?

The Coral, you mean? I think they are more or less the only new psychedelic Liverpool band this far.

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Thursday, 20 March 2003 23:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh I don't know, Geir. My friend mentioned several others, The Basement, The Hokum Clones, The Bandits.

Bandits are rubbish too

i don't like the coral much. haven't heard the others. i do like shack quite a bit, although i'm not sure they're part of the movement referred to here.

not one song written by any of these bands is worthy of being a Shack outtake, let alone even a b-side

Speaking of which has anyone got the track "Man I'm Only Human" by the La's from the first 12" of There She Goes - I've got some of it on the end of a tape and its amazing.

I've got it - do you want to swap?

The Coral sound like Freddie & the Dreamers - and I don't call that particularly psychedelic. Honestly, the rubbish that gets hyped and over-praised these days!

Dadaismus, Friday, 21 March 2003 12:45 (twenty-three years ago)

Freddie and the Dreamers not psychedelic!?!?! Are you not on drugs? They're called the Dreamers ferfeksake - that's pretty psych. Man whenever I listen to them its like dropping LSD right onto my eyeballs.

Explosion? dunno. But Super Numeri is from Liverpool. So's Snap Ant (well, he's in Super Numeri, but does his own thing on Invicta Hi-Fi). Definitely some psych thing going on there.
