From Every Sphere hits U.S. streets on May 20, via Astralwerks/Capitol. It's without a doubt my best work yet.

I'd love to believe you really are Ed Harcourt, but this board does have it's share of nutjobs. Thanks for the info though! I'm most likely gonna order the import. That's a damn long time from now.

Mikael (did I get it right?) is probably just trying to be funny.

It's rather good. It's been floating around slsk since x-mas time.

paul cox (paul cox), Friday, 21 March 2003 05:10 (twenty-three years ago)

it's also on Kazaa but each track from it apparently was encoded at a bitrate of 192 or higher so it'd take a weekend for me to download ya know like 3 tracks on my shit 56k connection. i just ordered the import like 15 minutes ago from TowerRecords.com
So hopefully I'll soon be able to experience firsthand the buzz surrounding this album.

It's actually very terrible. I enjoyed the e.p. But the over production of the second album is carried over. The thing is, well, there is not many songs on the album. His voice has taken a funny turn into the patented 'Travis' or 'Richard Ashcroft' over emoting.

I actually heard it previewed at HMV and said to my friend 'What is this? It's really terrible'. I asked at the desk. 'It's the new Ed Harcourt album'. Oh. It sounds like an even more boring Turin Brakes? 'I know. I really liked the e.p' 'Yeah, me too'.

luke cage is right. it's dull and semi-tuneful.

click the show all details button at bottom, mikael

M Matos (M Matos), Friday, 21 March 2003 20:59 (twenty-three years ago)

sorry to be such an ignoramus, but i clicked that button, matos, but it didn't solve the mystery for me; it just presented a link to my fake post as ed harcourt that didn't go anywhere.

i know this isn't really a big deal, but i just want to know whether or not i should be creeped out that what i thought was going to be an anonymous joke is traceable back to me. i mean, traceable for someone not interested in doing a great deal of detective work. obviously, anything on the internet is traceable for those willing to do it, but you know what i mean.

This title will be released on June 15, 2010 on Nice Music Group.

2010 release from the British singer/songwriter, his first album in four years. Lustre is a dazzling statement of intent and rejuvenation from a musician who hasn't always received the acclaim his gifts deserve. The album was recorded at Bear Creek Studio, just north of Seattle, with co-producer Ryan Hadlock (Blonde Redhead, The Gossip) and mastered by Gavin Lurssen (O Brother, Where Art Thou?).

you can listen to it here: http://www.edharcourt.com/
