Well aside from the similarity of names, there's not much to link them, is there? I have accidentally downloaded mislabelled Mark Almond Band tracks from the late Audiogalaxy in search of obscure Marc Almond tracks but I didn't bother to listen to them properly as they weren't my cup of tea.

Incidentally the name similarity thing could have been worse. It's not clear from his autobiography when Mark Almond became Marc Almond although I would guess it was sometime during his teenage years and, no doubt, was spurred on by his enthusiasm for Marc Bolan [another former Mark].

Marc Almond has written about the confusion that name similarity with the Mark Almond Band has caused. He has been told 'we love your albums from the seventies' by a number of American radio presenters when interviewing him in person. As he remarked, 'How old did they think I was?'
