Songs against the war

Any recent songs written regarding this most recent foreign excursion of ours? I'm just interested in the liberal side of things, mind you; none of this Dismemberment Plan bollocks. I think they're a suckass overrated indie rock band anyway. Fuck them, fuck the goddamn war, and fuck our dumb dictator of a president.

Hey justin,
Fuck War. The more i thnk about it, the more my blood boils.
At its very best, war is a way to siphon billions of dollars from the tax payer, give it to your crony friends and receive a portion back in "contributions". What a racket.
At its worse, Hmmm. Dont wanna go there.
Sorry this aint about music, but I think the issue is beyond the music.

Kevin, I won't chastise you for veering from the "subject" of the post. The issue is definitely beyond the music, it's going to pop up on a lot of unrelated threads on a lot of unrelated bulletin boards, and for all its importance, it may as well. In my humble opinion this war is as useless and destructive as... ah, say, a new Limp Biskit album. There! We've brought it full circle back to music. Now no fault can be held against us.

I think it's a bit too early (this is only, technically, the second week of the war). I'm sure they're on their way. Wait, didn't George Michael do one? (We don't hear his stuff over here anymore).

The George Michael one was so unbelievably crap that they didn't play it over here, either

I just got a disc called The Fire This Time which is all techno, or electronic or whatever the a-holes are calling it these days. I haven't listened to it yet, but it's got tracks by various folks including Aphex Twin and Orbital. It seems to be in protest.
here's the cover.

the beastie boys new single is an anti-war rap. with a zoolander reference and dog growling samples.

Justin, when you wake up, do you look in the mirror and say to yourself, "Today, I'm gonna fight the man. Also, how fucking shit why has God not smited me yet."

David Allen, Tuesday, 25 March 2003 18:00 (twenty-three years ago)

David Allen, I want to offer you a cordial thank you for offering up your grossly simplified opinions so that I might chuckle at them. Not laugh, unfortunately, or even chortle, but chuckle. You've given me a little amusement in this troubled times, and for that I thank you.
