I don't quite 'get' Vulnerabilia by My Computer

I've given it a couple of spins now, and it just feels like slightly restrained arsing around, but not in a particularly enjoyable way. What is it I am missing?

I like it very much.

Perhaps it's because I never got round to buying the Air album, so it fills that slot marked "vocoder-driven melancholia". And I also like the unpretentious charm, mixed with "Fuck You" vocals of "For Somebody Else" which makes me giggle every time I hear it. And occasionally it rocks too.

Horribly flawed yet utterly flawless. One of my fav records of the year last year and I stand behind that statement (for now at least).
