Man he was great. Watching some of his clips took me back. I'm sure I saw that PBS special with my grandparents. What a funny guy.

I used to read stories to my daughters using Borge's phonetic punctuation; it was pretty exhausting to keep up but they kept insisting on it.

Kidding about what? About what a freakin' musical genius he was? I saw him perform 2 or 3 times and he was amazing. If he had just stuck to straight classical piano people would still call him a singular talent, the fact that he could meld it with comedy so successfully and connect across the generations is utterly unique.
