Radio novelty songs: S&D

In 1980 an enterprising radio DJ recorded a version of "Barbara Ann" that substituted "Bomb Iran" in the chorus. Also that year, a DJ in Detroit recorded a new version of "Another One Bites The Dust" with lyrics about the Detroit Lions, who one their first six games in Billy Simms' rookie year.

Seems like this sort of thing used to be more popular in the 70s and 80s, but then again, I don't listen to the radio much now. Does this sort of thing still go on? What are some recent highlights? Anything spring up in the wake of recent world events?

I recall three months when you couldn't get around southern Colorado without hearing "la-la-la-la, la Broncos."

Supposedly there's some awful remix of "The World I Know" going around, with audio clips from the tragedy interspersed. Anyone unlucky enough to have heard this?

For better or worse, the idea of war-related novelty songs seems to be (and damn well should be) in far worse taste this time.. far more than the Gulf War, which was filtered to the U.S. TV watching populace as a big sporting event.

There's this mp3 remix of "I'm Afraid of Americans" interspersed with audio clips of GWB dispensing pearls of wisdom.
