was great! it was the first big arena pop concert i've been to. fireworks, lasers, 2 drummers, costume changes, dancing on the grand piano, Justin beatboxing to Planet Rock whilst suspended over the audience on a crane!!! the whole thing was completely overwhelming, i felt steamrollered by spectacle at the end of it. in a good way.

did anyone else go? what did you think?

or talk about arena pop concerts in general...

lemar was the support and he covered 'i believe in a thing called love,' it was very good! r'n'b singers doing indie songs = obviously much better than vice versa

Hey come on, the Darkness doing Like I Love You would be incredible!

I intend to write one letter a day to the Darkness in order to make this happen.

Actually, that makes two letters a day to the Darkness, because I am already petitioning them to release a Euro 2004 football song.

other good things last night: before 'girlfriend' justin said, "does anyone here want to be my girlfriend?" we all screamed yes. during 'cry me a river' he jumped from a platform and slid to the floor on a wire, so it looked like he was doing that weird underwater dancing from the video. at the end of his grand piano dance routine, he dropped to his knees, there was a big explosion, and when the smoke cleared HE HAD DISAPPEARED FROM THE STAGE. his 8 backing dancers were the coolest people i have ever seen in my life. by the way did i mention PLANET ROCK.

the 'planet rock' thing sounds cute. i am heartily opposed to The Darkness - or ANYBODY - doing a Euro 2004 record though
