Well, back in the day, KRS 1 & his long gone DJ, Scott La Rock, recorded an albums-worth of what then - in 1986 - was probably the first tales of the bronx through the eyes of a rap duo.

KRS detailed his "philosophy" on the Bronx ghetto culture in "South Bronx", so I'd say KRS for sure.

Your question is rather perplexing? What are u stating here? Who was first to document the Bronx in hip hop, or other?

3. J.Lo is, isn't she?

if I had to pick a borough to be from, I'd be boring and go for Queens or BK just for the overall number of quality MC's.

The post-punk trio ESG, to whom Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Marley Marl and Grandmaster Flash, among others, owe samples to, were from the Bronx. Actually, I should say are, because they're still active and just released an album last year.

There are a ton of musicians from NYC's Afro-Cuban and Latin music scence who hail from the Bronx - Jerry Gonzalez is probably the most well-known.

Let's not forget Dion and The Belmonts.

Queens is the coolest borough.

Mary J Blige? Is Yonkers in the Bronx?

That Yankees outfielder who's name I forget.
