RFI: identify this piece of classical music

The other night on the radio I heard a peice that began with some haughty Brit quoting John Donne's "Love no season knows nor clyme...". Anyone know the name?

Gah! I've heard this. It's a setting of several Donne poems, and it's by an American composer. I could be thinking of something else though. Both my brain and google are refusing to yield any answers, sadly.
