The New South album

Anyone heard this, got any opinions on it?
I bought it yesterday (had no idea they had anything new out), and off a couple of listens it seems, Not too bad.
There's some nice tunes on it, but they've abandoned the baggy elements and gone down the route of the Doves. Maybe a grower, hopefully a grower in fact.
Some of it sounds like they're trying to do something a bit different but keep getting dragged down to earth by someone telling them to sound AOR

Love the 1st album and was sorry it never really did anything. Saw them live a few times too - always great. Lead singer last heard on last UNKLE album.
