Holy Shit! They have a website!

http://www.pop-o-pie.com/

Anyone else remember these gents? Their first E.P. (The White E.P.) featured some fantastically irreverant covers of The Dead's "Truckin'", as well as a bunch of other great tracks. I can't be the only person who bought their shit, could I?

Sing out, Pop-o-Fans!

My girlfriend is a total Joe Pop-O-Pie freak!!! It the album with the cover of 'I Am The Walrus' (second album?) was the first thing she played me the first time we met! I reckon, if I hadn't liked it, I would not have got any nookie that night.

Man, I haven't even THOUGHT of them in twenty years. Some cool stuff, though.

I just e-mailed with Joe "Pie"! Everyone should buy stuff from their site at once. Besiege them with orders!

Incidentally, apparently their first recording, The White EP is tied up in litigation (415/Columbia is sitting on it), but they hope to release it on disc later this year. Hooray!
