Even though I have to work late, get up early tomorrow, have no one to go with, may have to wait in a car with no heat for an hour to cross the border, why should I go see THE UNICORNS tonight?

Oh, yeah.....and I've never heard anything by them.

Sounds like a hassle. Don't go.

I would drive 4 hours each way for the Unicorns, not a second more.
They're great fun, but if it's going to ruin yr week...

I find it hard to imagine someone in ten years saying "My greatest regret is failing to see The Unicorns live at the height of their power."

the show could rule (but it'll only rule if your party-hardy with them), but it could also blow goats to the moon. they're not the most devoted of performers: the last time i saw them, one of the members was in jail, and the other recruited a few homeless people to play keyboards and bass with paper bags over their heads. (sounds grate, i know, but the novelty wore thin after the ninth song.)

They sure aren't dedicated... I was supposed to see them in december, but without any warning they ran home to Montreal and we got some guy who was friends with the headliners to open.

I'm not even a big fan of their music, so I say don't bother.

re: Unicorns hype

I've seen 'em twice. The first time I thought they were quite funny and talented, but the second time I've never felt more insulted by a performance in my life... it was so awful that I was in a bad mood for almost an entire day afterwords.
